Yin Yang Yoga [Virtual]

April showers bring May flowers! Join Kelly for a class inspired by opposites: rain (yin) and sun (yang). In nature the elements bring balance to each other. Like in yoga, poses and counter poses create a dynamic equilibrium; both rain and sun are needed for growth. Yin and yang are opposite energetic forces, and they complement each other. Our yang yoga will include a seasonally inspired flowing sequence with standing balancing postures mixed in, to increase the heart rate and body temperature. Our yin yoga will bring us down to the mat, ending our practice with a seated and resting sequence, to cool down and let the soothing effects of the practice sink in a little deeper. This is the perfect combination for bringing balance (aka homeostasis) back into the body and our many systems operating behind the scenes, keeping us, healthy, grounded and connected to our vital energy. Music will set the tone for this 60-minute blended yoga class. All levels are welcome!
