Mindfulness + Self-Care [Virtual]
with Kelly Frank
Mindfulness is paying attention to yourself, your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your surroundings in a neutral, grounded way, in the present moment. This morning practice, a little less disciplined than traditional seated meditation, will set your mood and energy for the day. It loosens the grip of ruminating thoughts and emotional ruts, as we observe our thinking as a witness, and let go of everything but the NOW. We will stretch the body with some gentle, balanced movement and breath to enhance the mind body self-care connection. Being with yourself, being aware of yourself, is showing respect and acceptance for yourself. This will feel like eating kindness for breakfast, even if your mind never "stops thinking", which is never the goal of mindfulness meditation. Everyone is welcome and invited to ask questions throughout this practice.
Sound Healing Meditation [Virtual]
with Yvonne Clark
Relax at home to participate in this powerful sound healing frequency class. Rest with your eyes closed, seated or lying down while Yvonne takes you on a therapeutic journey with sound. This full body vibrational experience is very calming for the nervous system and accompanied by a guided meditation. No experience with meditation necessary. We recommend using headphones for maximum sound quality.
Slow Flow Yoga [Virtual]
with Kelly Frank
Slow Flow classes are guided throughout, with a focus on breathwork which is intended to take students out of their heads and into a more peaceful state of awareness. Emphasis is given to aligning the breath with the movement while slowing down and softening into postures. Slow Flow is an excellent starting point if you are new to yoga, and it also serves to challenge students to go deeper into their practice if they are experienced practitioners. The slower pace of the class allows students to hold postures, engage muscles and build strength, as well as flexibility. Classes are set to music designed to build energy, then release energy as students settle into final grounded postures, and rest together in Savasana.
